Original version is "SHEILA" Released in 1969 by Cuban master conga player Mongo Sanataria. Later recorded by Cal Tjader. RIP both of these great musicians.

That is true – but that recording was unreleased until the cd 'Afro American Latin' came out in 2000 (it's a great album!).
