[Trixie
Garcia is now] on the board of the Grateful Dead with the band’s
surviving members—Lesh, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart. In
many ways, she has become Garcia’s avatar. . . She’s excited that M.G.
is writing a book. She’s relieved that her mother finally gets to
participate. Trixie’s also had a hand in planning the Dead’s 50th
anniversary shows; some of the proceeds will go to restoring the Jerry
Garcia Ampitheater.

Hell yeah. Can’t wait to read what she has to say.
